2 great catfishing stories

The World’s Greatest Fisherman told a story of how he had some cast net fun one night while he was bank fishing. It was this simple: his cousin Freddy ran to the car with his rod on its catfish stick and the bail open. With a toss using his cast net to get some fresh bait, he caught one huge carp and one couple shad. With equal skill, he reeled in his cousin’s rod and hooked the fish in the mouth with his hook. He then opened his bail to let the carp swim.

Freddie his cousin came back muttering sadly since he’d been unable to make a catch that night. That was when he saw his line slowly leaving his bail. Quickly, he jumped to his rod, snapped the bail close and started making frantic effort to keep his catch.  After a brief fight by the catfish, he got the fish down and danced and sang all day about being an accomplished fisherman.

The same guy told a story of how his little girl caught this huge Channel Catfish using a small Snoopy fish rod.  She wanted to fish but could not use the large catfishing rods her dad was using.

The stories are unending and so interesting that even if you’d never gone catfishing you’ll shop for your equipment and start out to get your own story.
