How To Clean Catfish After A Catch

Always cut away from you rather than toward you when cleaning fish.

Use pliers to hold the fish when you need to. You can get a much better grip with pliers than you can your bare hand.

Be wary of the fish spurs. They are not the whiskers on the sides of the fish face, they are located on the fins at each side of the cat, behind the fish’s gills. These can be quite sharp and sting quite badly if you let them puncture your skin. The punctures can even become infected, so caution is necessary.
