Can you show me how to build a catfish jug?

You can easily build a catfish jug. Get a decent sized jug to start with. I find that a 1 gallon one works best, such as an old milk gallon. The handle on them are perfect for tying your fishing line. If you have a good idea of how deep the pond is for it, build the leader so that it will be close to the bottom of it – but it won’t get tangled in weed beds or tall grasses.
Make sure the lid is on the jug tightly or it will fill up with water and sink. On one end of the fishing line needs to be tied to the end of the jug. On the other end you want to place a snap swivel. This is where you will place the sinker and the leader. Build your leader with a barrel swivel on one end and attach it to your snap swivel. Now you can bait the hook and you are ready to toss the jug in the water. You can paint it too so that you will be able to see it at night.
