Do you think bread balls with shaving of dail soap would work for catfish and would it work better with garli or is soap now to chemicaly to work and do you think it might work if i just cut a bar of dail soap and in to bite size pecies and put garlic on it

The use of Dial soap is very common for Catfish, and I know that Ivory soap works too. The thing though is that sometimes this bait will attract them and other times it won’t. I like that it is easy to create and low cost. I have created shavings and then placed them into nylon stockings that are tied securely. I have had quite a bit of luck with that practice, and the bait doesn’t get all stinky sitting around either.
I haven’t tried the soap with garlic though but that is very interesting. It certainly could be something they would be attracted to. I would like to see how you do with it, so please let me know. It may be something I try one of these days if it works out well for you. I have tried the soap after soaking it in red Kool Aid. Some people have had results like that but I didn’t.
