Catfish Bait With Ingredients From Home

If you have small contour sponges, you have a goldmine for making catfish bait. Take the sponge and put it in a container that has a cover. You can add any or all of these ingredients. Chicken blood, garlic, water, flour, vinegar, skunk beer, tuna oil, lather it up with unscented soap or even spray it WD-40.

Anything that can turn moldy or smell horrible after a few days of sitting will work. After adding the ingredients, cover it and let it sit in a sunny window or outside in the sun for a few days.

Making your own catfish bait with ingredients from home is so easy to do. You can use anything as you can see and the catfish will come running. If it smells back enough, many catfish with come running, so have enough bait and enough poles in the water. Make sure you have some help with you because the cats are going to try to break the bait off the line and run with it.

The reason that so many home ingredients work is that the catfish has a keen sense of smell. They can smell something stinky from a far. This means that if you have a dead critter or even some left over meat from a hunting adventure, you can use it for fishing cats. The way you present the bait does not matter as much as what you present does. If it does not smell than the catfish may not bite.
