The most common length for a fishing pole used for catfish fishing
ranges from seven to ten feet. Longer rods give you more control and
casting distance. A moderate to fast action rod with some flexibility
is a great choice. However, don't get a rod that is too flexible or you
won't be able to reel in your catch.
Always choose a good quality spinning reel with a good drag system.
