Hey Dan There is this river in az called the salt river. the water rus there from alot of the big resivours i know there are big huge flatheads in there the current is real strong!what should i do to catch these beasts?

The first thing you want to do is find a spot in the river where the current isn’t too strong to be able to keep a sinker on the bottom along with bait. These fish will be looking for places to take breaks from the strong current themselves. They won’t pass up the chance to snag up something to eat while they are there. Find a spot where you see a sharp bend in the river. This will create a deep hole at the bend. The current will slow in these areas and make it an excellent place to fish.Another great idea is to find a location where large trees or bridges so that they can slow the current for you. Fish on the opposite side of the current. As a reminder, they tend to feed heavier at night regardless of what body of water. Go out and scout the area during the day and then you can be ready to fish at
night there.
