if im making catfish dough bait do you think that if i put liitle shredds of dail soap and carlic in the bait would it work?if you dont think so what are other household itiem would work
When you are making dough bait, don’t mix too many different ingredients with each other. I am sure that the taste buds of the Catfish are similar to our own – if you overseason it, then it won’t be nearly as good as it normally is. Garlic can work well for seasoning a variety of baits. I shake it on my night crawlers and shrimp to make them more attractive. You can use fresh garlic or garlic powder.
You can use the shreds of Dial soap if you like. I have tried it and caught various types of fish with it. However, I have never mixed it with garlic or other ingredients. Please tell me how it works for you as it could be a method that I will try later on if you got good results.
For dough bait, I would recommend mixing shredded cheese in it. This process will quickly get some scent into the water to attract the fish.
